James Stevenson

I first started dancing Biodanza 2003, at that time I didn’t really know much about the system or how deeply it’s effects can be in the body but I did know that I felt really good afterwards and it put a huge smile on my face.

In 2008 I took the dive and started the training to become a teacher Germany, and over the course of my journey trained in 3 more schools in the UK and Holland, finally completing at the Dorset School at Osho Leela. During this time I was lucky enough to train with Rolando Toro, creator of Biodanza, at some of the weekends in Scotland and felt inspired by his spirit. What surprised me about Biodanza was the huge scientific model supporting it that draws heavily on Neuroscientist to create it’s effects. What I had studied in textbooks and laboratories at Edinburgh University years earlier, now came coming alive in dance and human connection, imbuing it with life and meaning.

Now my passion is to share this “Ars Magna” (magnificient artform) with others and to help call forward their Soul and deepen. I teach locally in Scotland and also organise dance festivals in other countries.

In addition to Biodanza, I’ve been teaching Meditation, Energy Work and Tantra for over 15 years. As an Integral Practitioner my evolutionary approach is to work on all lines, levels, states and parts of ourselves in bringing forth our fullest potential. I also works as an intimacy coach offering body based practices and private sessions and part-time DJ at the Awaken Night club in Edinburgh.
